Stress Stress

I'm trying to write up my parts of a group presentation I've got to do a week on Monday and its getting me stressed out. I can't find enough good points and have no idea if the rest of the group have got loads more written up for their sections or not =/. I'm meeting up with them at uni at 4pm, so I will see then.

I wore this outfit yesterday and didn't feel altogether comfortable at points with so much leg out, since I don't have the thinnest thighs. However, my boyfriend assured me I looked nice and you couldn't see my bum and so I was happy enough. Then as we walked through Primark in town as a warm shortcut a middle aged woman with her husband and kids gave me the most amusing look up and down with her eyebrows raised!
Despite my body issues legwise, this is hardly an eyebrow-raising outfit and so I've no idea what was going through her mind! She'd have had more to raise eyebrows about if she'd known that the grey top is actually a cardigan worn backwards =]

Etsy Has Stolen My Life

I've spent all evening browsing good old Etsy, as I'm after a new necklace. Found a few candidates in the form of ribcages, to go with my red anatomica heart necklace (from Paraphernalia's shop) that I absolutely love to wear. Since the valentines day present my boyfriend was going to get me fell through (The Audition gig tickets sold out and the touts didn't have any to sell on the night -sad-) I might ask for my new necklace as a gift =].

Anyway, here is what I wore for my friend's birthday meal + night out on Saturday. The dress I bought at this years Leeds Festival, though not actually AT the fest, but during a trip to the nearby Tesco supermarket to stock up, during which I wandered into the clothes section, fell in love and snapped it up. I'm also glad I wore flat shoes, as my feet were still  happy little things at 2am!

Polka Polka

Every time I've tried to upload photos recently the page has frozen, so I'm glad its back to normal now!

Here's my most recent outfit shot. I love this skirt, and the blue polka dot tights never fail me, they make me so cheerful when I look down at my legs!

Put On Your Dancing Shoes

A couple of outfits from Thursday and Friday nights out. Apologies for the photo quality; Thursday's outfit I photographed in a club toilets so isn't particularly clear, and last nights outfit I photographed when I got home at 3am, hence the fact that my once-white tights were now muddy from people standing on my feet =[

I've had this Primark dress quite a while, and it comes out every so often for a burst of colour. I only own two Primark (very cheap highstreet store) dresses, as I'm always aware of the amount of students who wear Primark. Although seeing someone else wearing the same skirt/top as you can be slightly embarrasing, its not likely that the rest of your outfit will particularly simlar, whereas spotting someone else wearing the dress you have on is, in my opinion, much worse.
Anyway, I really like the boxy shape that this dress gives to the shoulders.

This dress I bought at H&M in January, and I absolutely love everything about it. Everyone kept telling me they liked my "top and skirt" though haha. There is some great pleated detailing on this dress that isn't clear from this photo though, which is a shame.

I'm going to see Juno tonight, rather excited!

I'm loving the big, bold prints on some of the items in Betsey Johnson's A/W collection. I'm a sucker for buying items containing prints of things like skulls and spiders (I especially love my rather large black patent spider brooch from H&M a few months back, it really adds an edge to a more feminine outfit) and at the moment I've been looking round for a necklace with some sort of gun charm hanging from it.

So of course I was really drawn to these three prints from the collection, especially the idea of wearing them on oversized sweaters and pencil skirts.

Ideas, Ideas

I picked up this floral skirt at a charity shop the other day for £2.50, fairly happy with my new springtime addition to my wardrobe, before realising its true potential. I hadn't paid to much attention to the second layer underneath the skirt until I tried it on at home earlier, and realised that the lovely layer of redness could transform the skirt into something a bit different.

For now, though, I wear it as normal =]
