Out Of Steam

Since I got back from London on Thursday eve I have been constantly tired, eugh. I think I may be getting a cold. Therefore, for the past few days the thought of trying to sort out all of my thoughts (& photos) has been too much and I have been putting off blogging.
I want to write in-depth posts about a few designers that I really loved from the exhibition at Somerset house (posts dedicated to Alpha60 & Yes Master lingerie to come next week), but until I get my head together to put together a proper post (soon, I promise!), here are some photos from the the past week...

1. Hanging out in a tube station
2. Karaoke in Camden
3. Mary Katrantzou's amazing baroque insired collection
4. Sonya Kashmiri bags
5. I packed too many clothes
6. My name was Jimmy Hendrix(!) on Monday
7. Lucy Hutchings' gorgeous statement jewellery

After managing to keep up with NY's shows at the start of the week, I am completely out of the loop now. Will have to catch up via style.com over the weekend!
For now, here are some amazing YSL cocktail rings to drool over. I've dreamed of these since I first saw them, and I still think it would be pretty damn fantastic to wear one.

Also, I'm in London Sunday-Thursday staying with my friend Helen, which I'm looking forward to. My London savvy friend has lectures on Monday so I'm going to have to go it alone for the day; any reccomendations of places for a lone Northern blogger to explore/ things to do on Monday would be very much appreciated!

Keeping Up

I'm having trouble keeping up with NY fash week on style.com; so many great shows to browse through photos of, so little time! I have saved hundreds of photos so far & so here are some of my favourite looks from the last few days, from Alexander Wang, Jeremy Laing & Yigal Azrouel. Yum yum yum; Autumn/ Winter is looking to be full of delicious clothes & shoes!

Polar Express

On Monday evening Charl held a dinner party for some of our friends. Her asparagus and parmesan puff pastry tart with rocket was amazing! And the amount of whipped cream in her strawberry dessert was INSANE, but in a good way of course!
More dinner parties please!

I wore one of my Christmas presents from the boy, this All Saints tee, which I love. possibly something to do with the fact it is skull related (see here & here for past skull love) and for extra warmth I put on my favourite, massive faux fur. My friend James laughed when he first saw me and asked if I was wearing a polar bear, but as soon as we stepped out into the freezing cold night and the boys started shivering in their thin jackets, the last laugh was on a very cosy me!

Edit: Just found out about the tragic death of Alexander McQueen. So awful =[. RIP.

Maybe I'm Up High

I haven't worn a skirt in the daytime for ages, so it felt really strange wearing tights yesterday when I went out for a late lunch with the boy. At least I have finally got out of my winter dressing rut of throwing on skinny jeans and a big cardigan almost everyday!

Also - what does everyone think of the S/S Ashish for Topshop clothing line? I can't decide whether I like the combination of sweatpants + spikes. Hmmm! Opinions??

Late Nights

I know this is slightly reminiscent of my last post, but lately I have forgotten my camera everywhere I've gone except on Saurday nights so all I have to show of myself is times when I'm slightly inebriated. My apologies! These photos are from one of my best friend's 22nd birthday at the weekend, which was a lovely night =].
