Stars & Shorts

I made this necklace out of a big earring the other day, and I'm rather proud of it! I may do it

with other earrings as I seem to own so many, but never wear them. Also, I absolutely love this jacket; it is perfect for Summer as it is lightweight and not too hot =].

My boyfriend and I really need to get sorted and buy Leeds festival tickets on Ebay, because last year we left it until the week before the fest (which is at the end of Aug) and I was SO stressed. I hate being disorganised! If we don't get them bought in the next week I may go insane.

Last year I got sick on the second day and spent the whole weekend sleeping in my tent and eating only dry crackers. Lying in a tent on the cold, hard ground, in a field, surrounded by tens of thousands of people partying all night is not fun when you are ill, believe me! At the end of it I was so upset at wasting my money to get sick and not enjoy the bands, that I said I might not go this year, but... Now I am desperate to go and have a good time! The line-up is pretty good too!

Very.co.uk

A few weeks ago, Very.co.uk were kind enough to send me this gorgeous one shouldered dress, from their Love label.

When I first took it out of the packaging I realised how beautiful the colours are; they really do remind me of a holiday sunset =]. It is probably one of the most colourful pieces of clothing I now own, which is definitely a good thing with the amount of black and white pieces I've been buying recently despite the fact it is the middle of Summer.

It is a lovely fit, very flattering, and the draped sleeve is so dramatic - it adds that 'extra special' detail to the dress. I wore it out to dinner with friends last week. I forgot my camera (I hate it when that happens), so no photos, but I felt great in it!

I will certainly be checking out very.co.uk in the future, especially the Love Label pieces, which are so reasonably priced, and next time I wear the dress I will try to remember to take a photo! =]

Tie Dye

It was the birthday of one of my best friends at the weekend and so we celebrated with a night out. I finished work quite late and had decided on an outfit the day before so that I didn't waste time trying on ten thousand different items of clothing.

Of course when it came down to it, I didn't feel like wearing what I had sensibly decided so ended up in a mass trying on session with only ten minutes until I was meant to be at said friend's house. Useless!

In the end though, I was happy with my final decision of this tie-dyed dress, which I bought at Topshop a year or two ago, paired with extra strappy platform heels. And I was only slightly late after all that decision making..!

Cyprus, Pt 1.

I know, I know, I have been a terrible blogger lately, though in my defence, I have been on holiday in Cyprus for a week! I had a lovely week; lots of eating amazing food, drinking cocktails & wine and lying in the sun was done. Perfect. =]
