The Imperfectionist

[Coat - vintage, tee - All Saints, skirt - vintage, shoes - Primark]

I wore this outfit for lunch with the boyfriend and a hair appointment (these were taken pre-appointment, so my hair is shorter now) at the weekend.

I swear it all looked less creased in real life. The sleeves on the coat are admittedly slightly too long, hence the crumpled effect, but then coat sleeves always seem to be too long for my arms!

Just call me the imperfectionist; creases and crumples and incorrect lengths always find their way into my outfits. I guess not every item of clothing has to end up looking perfectly preened in order to enjoy dressing up!

Just History

This weekend I spent in Northampton with my boyfriend, visiting his Mam who moved there recently. We spent lots of time in some of the beautiful, little villages surrounding the town. One such village was Brixworth, which is home to a 7th Century Anglo-Saxon church. It is such a beautiful building, and to think that it has been standing for 1,300 years is amazing!

I'm wearing the dinosaur sweater from Topshop that I posted about wanting way back in August (here). It is so cosy and so much fun to wear! I am also wearing my new staple cardigan, which is from H&M. I love the colour, plus it has patches on the elbows, not that you can tell from the photo!

On A Winter's Day

I opted for comfort over style for a long dog-walk in the sand dunes yesterday afternoon! Jeans, converse & an oversized warm jumper = the perfect combination. I added my favourite F21 necklace for a bit of sparkle.
Alfie dog had a fun walk, though he hurt his paw and has been limping since then. I feel so bad for him. Hopefully it will get better, otherwise a trip to the vets will be in order.

I went to Cheshire Oaks outlet village on Friday for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised. I bought a faux-fur jacket from the Marks & Spencer outlet store (not somewhere I would usually expect to find a jacket), which I am really excited to show you all!
