Tulle, Sequins & Jewels

I never went to my high school prom when I left high school at 16. I went to an All Girls school and my friends and I decided that, instead of paying for an expensive ticket & buying an expensive dress, we would just have our own celebrations instead. Then, when I left A Level college at 18, the prom was cancelled due to lack of ticket sales & when I gradiated university a few years ago, my friends there and I decided not to splash out on the ball since we were already drowning in student debt and, again, make our own celebrations,

So, I have never had the opportunity to wear a prom dress. And, now that I'm 24, I'm kind of sad about it! One day I will find an excuse to buy one and wear it somewhere :).

Anyway, if I was going to a prom this Summer I'd definitely choose one of these two beauties from the Topshop Dress Up collection! Tulle, sequins and jewels... Perfect!

 Hey everyone, I hope you have all had a nice week so far! I have been doing overtime at work to save up some pennies for my aforementioned move abroad to Vancouver in July. On that note, thanks so much for all of the lovely good luck comments and advice. I'm still very excited/stressed!

 This candy-striped knit is one of my favourite second hand finds, which I bought when I was at university and this statement piece of jewellery is one of my favourites. I remember being very happily surprised when I came across it in Primark a while back! Also, I'm feeling generous so have some delicious food porn on me in the form of strawberries, cornish vanilla icecream & crumbled oreo dessert, which was probably my month's calorie allowance in one bowl (ie. heaven)!

Leather skirt/ Tie-dye scarf/ Exciting news

I got some exciting news last week; My boyfriend and I are going to be moving to Canada for a year (or two if we are sucessful in reapplying next year) in July! 

We're heading to Vancouver in the second week of the month (still looking for the best deal on flights) on a working holiday visa and we are SO excited. I've lived in the UK all of my life and so to move abroad, even only for a year or so, is going to be an amazing experience. 

We love Vancouver; my boyfriend's Dad has lived out there for five years and so he has visited quite a few times & I've accompanied him twice (My post from my last visit in 2010). I am ridiculously excited to live there, but completely stressed about moving my whole life at the same time! And I will definitely keep blogging once I'm over there :)!

So, if any of you lovely people are Vancouverites I would love advice/ info on literally anything to do with the city. Best area for a mid-20s couple to apartment hunt? Favourite shops? Best restaurants? Favourite scenic spot? Any online job hunting websites that you know are useful? Anything at all would be totally appreciated! Spring In Step, Camera In Hand

I went out for brunch yesterday, hence the middle photo of delicious scrambled eggs with smoked salmon & asparagus (heaven). I always wonder exactly what other people at tables around us are thinking when we bloggers suddenly start taking photographs of our plates of food at restaurants! You can't exactly be subtle about it when you're hovering a camera above your brunch, hehe.

I haven't attempted to bleach my damaged skirt from the post below yet, hopefully I will get round to it over the next few days and then I can show you all the result!
