Leopard Print & Christmas Post

[Jeans: H&M, Tee (worn underneath sweater): Topman, Sweater: H&M, Coat - Thrift, Boots: Ardene, Ring: Claires]

I didn't realise how early the last posting date in time for the holidays to the UK from Canada is until today, when I found out that I have to have all of my Christmas Cards and letters bought, written and on their way by December 3rd! So, I have one week to find the perfect cards for my friends and family, and to get writing everything I wish to say to them. As for parcels... Apparently they had to be posted back at the end of October to be ensured delivery before Christmas! October

I wore this outfit today and it incorporates two of my all time favourite things: leopard print and sparkly knitwear, yay! I bought these jeans a while back, it has been a couple of years since I had leopard print jeans in my life (I think I've owned two other pairs in the past although they weren't as colourful), but I couldn't resist these! I wonder what it is exactly about animal print that draws me to it like a magpie to shiny things!

GUESS, Topshop, Sartore, Mulberry

I think one of my favourite parts of Autumn/ Winter is all of the boots I see in the stores and on people in the street. Especially, apparently, black ones with studs on. I don't have any with me in Canada, but this must change soon! Leather boots are without a doubt my next essential purchase, so that I don't have to risk getting wet feet like I do every time I leave the house in pumps! After the boots, my wishlist includes a new Winter jacket & I've been browsing the selection over at Buffalo Jeans to get some inspiration

There is something rather exciting about setting out to buy a season essential like boots or a coat, especially because it's a useful purchase and not a frivolous one, horray! Who knew sensible purchases could be so fun?!

All Good Things

[Knitted jumper - H&M, Jeans - Primark, Bag - Topshop, Boots - Ardene]

I've been enjoying a break from the rain this week with some lovely umbrella-free walks! My boyfriend bought me this jumper as a gift for our 7th anniversary a couple of weeks ago and it is the perfect soft, slouchy fit. It isn't clear in the photos, but it has gorgeous iridescent threads running through it.

Thankyou to you lovely people who left me book recommendations on my last post! I'm excited to get down to the bookstore and pick up some new reads :).

Wearing Plaid & Reading Books

[Shirt - Joe Fresh, Necklace - F21]

Is plaid a lazy option for Autumn? Probably, but I still love wearing it! When the weather is getting colder and wetter I crave cozy pieces, and a loose, soft, plaid shirt is the perfect choice. Oh, and I think my internal motto might be When in doubt... Add a statement necklace!

I'm almost finished the book I'm reading (The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller, which I'm loving, especially as a Classics graduate) and wondered if any of my readers (pun unintended(!)) have any recommendations? What are you reading at the moment? Let me know in the comments! :)
